Review of Handicapped Accessible Portable Toilets

We've been using these for 4-5 years now and here's what we think.
Pros:

• Cheap

Cons:

• The doors are bad, they are flimsy and need to be re-bent into shape every time we use them.
• The holding tank does not attach to the wall so trash gets behind it, it also has an opening for a urinal and no plug to seal it up, we had to make something up.
  
• The toilet seat lid is very flimsy and does not stay up by itself.
• The floor is designed in a way so its very hard to slide it around (it also cracks)
• There's no handles or anywhere to grab on the toilet, you must push it or add handles yourself
• The door makes it impossible to put a sign on
• The two tone scheme doesn't appeal to me
  

Satellite Industries ADA Handicapped (no longer available)

Rating: 3 (out of 5)

We've used this for 10+ years and have had to stop using it unfortunately, here's what we think.
Pros:

• Completely legal
• Mostly durable
• Higher capacity holding tank
• Handles to move it
• Big area for sign placement.
  

Cons:

• The warranty isn't as great as Satellite makes it out to be
• The roof is cracked/cracks on everyone of these i've seen, a bad and costly design flaw
• Very heavy
• The handrails though powder coated will rust after enough washes, they should have used aluminum or stainless steel
• Cost, this is the most expensive portable restroom on the market
  

Poly Portables Handicapped    (Senator)

I have a love hate with this restroom, love the restroom but hate the company that makes it, the CEO said some very rude things to me and now I no longer buy from her company.  However this review will focus on the restroom and not the company
Pros:

• Light, easy to move around.
• Plenty of space, it looks big enough to be legal.
• Aluminum handrails never rust.
• Very durable construction.
• Has handles.
• Big area to put a sign on
  

Cons:

• There's a piece of square tubing inside that's made from normal steel, it rusts the second you put water too it.
• if it's not on level ground the door will not align right, it still works and closes but looks bad.
• The door can get bent if the crowd is too rough.
• The vent pipe is very brittle.
  
• The company is a bit dis-organized, I once ordered several of these units, drove down several hundred miles only to find that the restrooms were not there. 

Poly John Handicapped (mini)

Rating: 4 (out of 5)

I personally don't have any of these, they look too small to be legal so I don't bother, however a friend of mine uses them and when I need to I'll borrow his unit.

Pros:

• Very easy to move, even has handles in the floor
• Seems quite durable, nothing seems to break on it
• Decent sized area for signs

Cons:

• Looks very small, almost like it isn't really for handicapped people
• The floor stains easily and is hard to clean
• Some of the older units don't have enough UV protection in the gray areas so it can discolor
• The two tone scheme Gray +color doesn't appeal to me.

Poly John Handicapped (Large)

We never felt any need to purchase this unit however one of our customers bought one so we have been servicing it for several years.

Pros:

• Durable

Cons:

• Looks horrible
• No place for signs
• hard to clean

Five Peaks Handicapped (no longer available)

We don't rent or deal with this unit too much, our competitor uses them and from talking with him and by our own observations here's what we have to say.

Pros: 

• 3 roll paper holder
• "Marbleized" holding tank cleans easily
• Has handles

Cons

• Severely lacking in sign space
• springs break
• looks like it was an after thought, it's like an old house with several additions on it, it just doesn't look right
